I'm sorry. You lost all credibility with this comment: "The one really frustrating thing about this game is the rules. It’s a mom and pop game, made by some Mormons should the history interest you. However, because of this fact the rules are written in such a way as to be intimidating and round about for many players." What kind of biased nonsense is this? Because it was made by Mormons the rules are convoluted? I guess I should just conclude, "Because this reviewer is an idiot his entire analysis of the game is a load of junk." And never bother to read your reviews again.

I despise trivia style"games" myself, but since I don't consider them true representatives of US board games, I don't see why they should go head to head with Settlers (that for the record I find equally unapealling). My choice for champion US designer would be Steve Jackson, or the gentleman who created Axis and Allies. I just find random elements and back stabby weaselishness more fun than cooperative resource trading management from der fatherland. Oh, Metazoic's Epic Spell wars of the Battle Wizards at Skullfyre is another great recent US creation.
You are dead on about over packaged games however. It is also less of a risk to your back to carry lots of games if they are efficiently packaged.
In the final enalysis it is all about having fun with your friends. Even trivia games are acceptable if the gaming group prefers them.

Usually I am loathe to removed (not spam) comments from my blog. For me it's a matter of journalistic integrity. "This is how it went down, and thus this is how it is immortalized" is often my stance. Mr. Pace has requested, repeatedly, that his earlier comments be removed. He has apologized and has made efforts to fix the problems previously stated in this blog. For one, he has revamped his website (http://www.raidingparties.com/) to include a more complete explanation of the rules.

It is for this reason, that I reluctantly have bowed to his request and have removed the back and forth comments originally posted at the beginning of this comment section.

Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone should be allowed the ability to apologize. Hope my readers understand.

Nick Page was so courteous to sent me a copy of the game, and after checking out the updated rules I had a blast playing this game with my 7 year old daughter. Great game and friendly correspondence from the designer, Nick Page.

Thanks! I would like to recommend this game for anyone who loves a non complicated card game with fantastic artwork. The rules are actually very logic, just imagine the fights, and the rules make lots of sense, so the game is easy to learn.

Wow, that is awesome. I actually had someone offer to buy my dinner at a con one time if I could do that, but alas, it didn't happen. Still, kudos on an awesome feat!

I am always so good to take advice, criticism, thoughts, and opinions. Any one who knows me knows this forum response was very uncharacteristic, although I obviously spoke my mind. It was a poor way to handle the test, and I hope readers can understand and forgive, because the game is VERY thoughtful. The rules are the last 3 cards in the deck, and set two will include a full rulebook. Once again thank you for the push to help me improve at all levels.

I'm probably going to get laughed off the page for saying this, but I was playing this game with my wife last night and rolled 13 brains. In a row. I had a zero score after rolling variations of brains, then 3 shotguns for a few turns (shouldn't have pushed my luck), but on turn 3 it all came together and I rolled 3 brains, then 3 more, then 3 again, then 3 AGAIN, then put them all back in, took three dice out of the jar and rolled them one at a time. The first one was a brain, for a total of 13.

Needless to say, I stopped.
